STA Travel Connect is a prepaid service. Time and money are deducted from your account every time you use a paid STA Travel Connect service. You need to, therefore, have credit on your account before you can use the paid services.
Is there a minimum time charged for each call I make?
Yes. 60 seconds.
Are the call charges rounded up?
Yes. To the nearest 60 second increment.

What STA Travel Connect services do I have to pay for to use?

You can also buy the Premium email service for 12 months and extend your subscription at any time. All other services are free.
Do I have to add credit to my account when I join?
No, but if you will not have access to all of STA Travel Connect's services.
Does the cost of calls vary by time and day?
No. STA Travel Connect charges a flat rate 24 hours, 7 days a week.

How do I find out the various international rates for each country?

If I am out of time with no recharge facility, can you give me an emergency five minutes to arrange new payment details?
After your time has expired you can still access the STA Travel Connect phone service to find out how many messages you have, however you are then automatically forwarded to Customer Service so you can recharge your account.
Yes. You can reverse the charges if you are calling family and friends in
the United States, Canada, United Kingdom*, Germany or Japan. To make a collect
call, you
need to dial the access number for the country you are in, then enter the collect
call
number. To find the collect call number, click Making calls in
the side
menu on the website.
* This service is not directly available to everyone. If you cannot see the Collect Call number on the
website, please contact STA Travel Connect Customer Service and tell them
you would like to make a Collect. They will transfer you to a Collect Call operator.
Once I'm a member, how do I continue to pay?
You pay (recharge) your account using a credit card via Customer Service or the website.
Can I call Customer Service from a non-toll-free country and then use the service?
No. You cannot make reverse charge calls using the service. You need an operator for this type of call.
